This project was a short investigation into motion tracking techniques to be used in future development.  Written in Processing and using the Minim and Jmyron libraries we are able to specifically track the color red as it passes through the cameras view port.  The camera view port is virtually divided into quadrants so that the presence of a red object will trigger an audio signal depending on it’s location.  Although it is not a very elegant interface for a drum synthesizer the opportunity for gesture related interface and crowd tracking make motion tracking an interesting place to play.  If you would like to view the source code please contact us.
